5 Reasons Every Home Needs Wild Orange Essential Oil

Due to its beautiful scent and its versatility, Wild Orange Essential Oil is a necessity to every household. It is simple to use, safe for the whole family and the applications go far beyond even this list.

1. Wild Orange as a Sticky Remover

This is my absolute favorite way to use Wild Orange Essential Oil! Those difficult price stickers that just won’t come off drive me bananas. Especially when they place them front and center on the glass of a photo frame.

Have no fear! Simply place 2-3 drops of Wild Orange Essential oil on the sticker or sticky residue and let sit for a minute. The Wild Orange will start to break down the adhesive. Wipe off with a paper towel or cloth. It may take more than one application depending on the severity of the sticky situation. This use has saved me on many a last minute gifts! I keep a bottle in the car for lots of reasons, and this is one of them.

*Take caution when removing sticker from thin types of plastic. Do not leave the oil on to dissolve the sticker. Just wipe the oil on with a paper towel.

2. Emotional Benefits

Wild Orange Essential Oil has always baffled me in its emotional benefits. Similar to the scent of a fresh orange, Wild Orange Essential Oil is uplifting to the mood.
Diffusing a few drops, adding a drop to your hands and inhaling or smelling it straight from the bottle can uplift and revitalize your mindset. It can help refresh a tired or grumpy mood.  When needing focus or energy support, Peppermint Essential Oil is a great one to pair with it. Remember that bottle I keep in my car? Diffuse in the car for these uplifting properties.

Okay… it’s uplifting… so are many essential oils. Wild Orange ALSO has a very grounding effect at the same time. Many people will even blend it with oils like Vetiver, Serenity or Roman Chamomile in a diffuser to support restful sleep.

3. You Can Use It For Flavoring

Nothing upsets me more than to see essential oils on the market that claim they are unsafe for topical or internal use. If you see an Orange Essential Oil that has this claim… RUN! Run far, far away.

If we can eat the fruit the oil is “supposedly” made from, there should be reason for us to be suspicious when we cannot consume the oil. Essential Oil safety is crucial, and knowing that your oils are TRUELY pure is important. Check out SourceToYou.com to see all the testing on doTERRA Wild Orange essential oil.

doTERRA’s Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade Wild Orange Essential Oil is safe for internal use. It has great physical benefits for health and wellness, but it also tastes great.

Add a drop (you only need one!) to a smoothie or juice in the morning for an extra orange flavor boost. Even add a drop to a glass container of water or hot tea and drink up!

4. Powerful Immune Boost

doTERRA’s Wild Orange Essential Oil has a chemistry that can positively impact one’s immune system. It is high in monoterpenes which makes it ideal to support healthy immune functions.

There are many ways to incorporate Wild Orange Essential Oil into your health and wellness routine. When others around you are feeling under the weather or you are wanting to be proactive in your immune support, try some of these ideas. (Comment and let us know how they go!)

  • Add a drop of Wild Orange Essential Oil to a spoonful of honey. Will support immune functions, and the honey will soothe the throat. Repeat as needed.
  • Diffuse Wild Orange to purify the air! I do this in my home, my classroom and in my husband’s office.
  • Add 1 or 2 drops into a veggie cap and take internally. This is especially helpful when the temperatures start to drop.
  • Apply with a carrier oil to the bottom of your feet in the morning and throughout the day as needed.

5. Harness the Cleaning Power

Those purifying properties are not only effective on your body systems, they can be used throughout the house!

The toxic chemicals found in many cleaning products have hormone replicating effects and can damage our respiratory systems. Before overhauling our cleaning products, my asthma would flare up so bad while cleaning that I would have to reach for my inhaler multiple times. I knew something had to change in the choices I was making.

Wild Orange Essential Oil is one of the natural products we now use to clean surfaces in our home. Add 10-15 drops to a glass spray bottle with water and start spraying away. Depending on the surface, sometimes I will add hydrogen peroxide too. Add some Lemon, OnGuard or Melaleuca for an extra boost!

Wild Orange Essential Oil is especially nourishing to wood surfaces in your home. Try making this homemade wood polish with a few simple ingredients.

DIY Cleaning products may seem like a daunting time investment at first, but soon you will realize that they can be very simple, cost effective and rather than reek havoc on your body systems, it could support them while you clean!
